Two Steps to Secure Your Timing Date!

STEP 1)  Fill out the online timing agreement through the link below.  There is nothing to print or email for the agreement - it is completed on the web.
Within the agreement form, you'll enter which method of timing you'd like to use in addition to providing all of the dates, locations, times that pertain to your event.  You will not be able to complete the timing agreement until you have a location and date secured.
STEP 2) Download the Credit Card Authorization, fill it out completely, then return to 3W Races via email.  This may require printing and scanning or the use of advanced PDF software.

Timing Options/Costs

$400 non-refundable deposit is collected to hold your timing date, regardless of timing method chosen. 
The deposit funds are, of course, applied to your timing fee balance which is due on your race day.

Events outside a 90 mile radius of Denver may incur a surcharge.

A) App-Based Timing – $595 
​We use a tablet and the Webscorer app to provide reliable, efficient timing for smaller events.
How It Works
  • Suitable for events with up to 225 participants.
  • Participants are timed using GUN time (start time is the same for all).
  • Our timer records each finisher’s time and bib number using an iPad app.
  • Results are scored and posted in real time on Webscorer.com/3WRaces.
  • No printed results are provided on race day—participants can view their times on their smartphones immediately after finishing.
  • Generic bib numbers are included.
Limitations
  • Works best for 5K races or shorter due to finish line density.
  • If registration exceeds 225 participants (or the distance-specific limit), your event will automatically be upgraded to chip timing, and the corresponding fees will apply.
On-Site Timing Schedule
  • Timer arrives 90 minutes before the scheduled start.
  • If on-site presence is required more than 120 minutes after the first scheduled gun time, an additional fee of $79/hour per timing team will be applied.
B) Chip-Based Timing – Starting at $1,375 
Ideal for events with larger participant numbers or more complex timing needs.
How It Works
  • Uses RFID timing mats and readers, with PC-based scoring via RaceDay Scoring (RunSignUp) software.
  • Offers both GUN time and NET time (individual start and finish times).
  • Disposable chips are attached to the back of race bibs—no collection required post-race.
  • No extra volunteers needed.
  • RunSignUp must be used as the event's registration platform.
Real-Time Results
  • Results are posted online instantly and can also be sent to participants via text or email (free of charge).
  • Performance-based standings (for awards) are calculated and updated live.
  • Your emcee or event director can access standings directly on a smartphone during the awards ceremony.
  • No printed results are created at the event.
Pricing
  • $1,375 for up to 400 registrants.
  • $2.55 per registrant beyond 400.
  • Generic bib numbers are included.
  • Additional fees may apply for:
    • High-demand race dates
    • Multiple timing points
Add-Ons & Additional Charges
  • Additional Time On-Site:
    • Timer arrives 120 minutes before first gun time.
    • Additional presence beyond 120 minutes post-start billed at $79/hour per team, in 30-minute increments.
  • Remote Split Points:
    • $400 per location.

School Cross Country Events

Participation Limits & Timing Options (Refer to pricing above.)
Chip Timing
  • No participant limits per heat.
  • Best for larger or more complex events, including multiple heats or waves.
App-Based Timing
  • Works best for smaller events or when waves do not overlap at the finish line.
  • Participant limits:
    • 5K: Up to 225 participants total
    • 1 Mile: Up to 110 participants per wave
    • 2 Mile: Up to 160 participants per wave
  • Multiple waves allowed if:
    • Each wave finishes before the next begins
    • No wave exceeds its distance-specific limit
⚠️ Important Upgrade Policy
  • If registrations exceed these limits, chip timing is required.
  • If you book app-based timing but participant numbers go over the listed limits (before or on race day), your event will automatically be upgraded to chip timing, and corresponding fees will apply.

Extended On-Site Time
  • If staff are needed more than 120 minutes after the first scheduled start time, an additional $79/hour per timing team will apply (billed in 30-minute increments).
Bibs
  • $20 per 100 additional registrants above 225 when using app-based method.
